Bring a masterpiece home with you, and own a work of art by Pablo Picasso, the greatest and most influential artist of the 20th century. An artistic genius who demonstrated extraordinary talent throughout his life, Picasso was passionately creative in every genre of art and was also responsible for significant developments in painting, sculpture, printmaking and ceramics. To date, there are few artists who compare to Picasso’s sheer versatility and creative vision.
Created in 1937, Portrait de Dora Maar is one of Picasso’s most notable paintings. As an homage Picasso created in honour of his admiration for the beauty of his beloved muse Dora Maar, he used his expertise as a master of colours to express his love through dramatically contrasting tones of red, green and yellow. This was Picasso’s way of paying tribute to Dora Maar’s strong personality through the use of bold colours and angular lines.
As a form of textile art, the Jules Pansu company is the only weaver allowed to create a collection from the paintings of Pablo Picasso with approval from the Picasso Administration. All works are reproduced without modification, in strict compliance with the original colors and in full, perfectly faithful to Picasso's paintings with the agreement of the Picasso Estate.
