Bring a masterpiece home with you, and own a work of art by Pablo Picasso, the greatest and most influential artist of the 20th century. An artistic genius who demonstrated extraordinary talent throughout his life, Picasso was passionately creative in every genre of art and was also responsible for significant developments in painting, sculpture, printmaking and ceramics. To date, there are few artists who compare to Picasso’s sheer versatility and creative vision.
Created in 1932, Femme á la fleur presents a sharp, vivid and almost whimsical representation of the love affair between Pablo Picasso, aged 61, and his dignified and beautiful lover Françoise Gilot, aged 21 at the time. A romance which began in Paris in the spring of 1943, Picasso was enchanted by Gilet’s maturity of spirit and her bold and independent sense of self. They shared a passionate relationship which eventually resulted in 2 beautiful children.
As a form of textile art, the Jules Pansu company is the only weaver allowed to create a collection from the paintings of Pablo Picasso with approval from the Picasso Administration. All works are reproduced without modification, in strict compliance with the original colors and in full, perfectly faithful to Picasso's paintings with the agreement of the Picasso Estate.
